Spend New Year’s Eve 2026 on the beach in Msambweni, just south of Diani. On 31 December, YU Resort hosts a gala dinner, a live DJ and a fireworks display over the Indian Ocean at midnight. It is a night to say goodbye to 2026 and welcome 2027 with the people who matter most.
The night begins with a festive gala dinner prepared by our kitchen team. Expect a menu that brings together Swahili coastal flavours and international dishes, from fresh seafood starters to rich desserts. Wine and cocktails are served through the evening.
Dinner is relaxed and unhurried, with the sound of the sea close by. It is the perfect time to catch up with friends and family and look back on the year.
After dinner, our DJ takes over. Expect a mix of crowd favourites, African hits and party classics to carry you through the last hours of 2026. Dance all night, or find a seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Either way, you will feel the energy build towards midnight.
As the countdown begins, step outside under the stars. At midnight, fireworks light up the sky above the ocean to welcome 2027. It is the moment the whole night builds to, and one you will remember.
